During the normal power generation of power plant units, in order to prevent bearing friction and heat from causing damage, the AC power supply and AC speed control system of the plant are usually used to control the oil pump system to lubricate the generator bearings.However, when the AC power used in the plant fails, it must be powered by the DC cylinder system used in the plant, so the DC lubricating oil pump system is often started when the AC power used in the power plant fails.At present, most power plants use traditional devices, and the principle is to control the start and stop of the DC oil furnace pump motor by means of contactor switching resistors.

This control will produce a large inrush current impact on the DC power supply and motor when the resistance is switched, which will not only affect the life of the DC motor, but also have a greater impact on the relay protection system, which will cause relay protection and automatic device malfunction in severe cases, resulting in accidents.In addition, when the oil furnace pump motor is shut down, a contactor is used to disconnect the power supply of the DC motor. The inductive load of the motor will cause serious arc burning between the contactor contacts.

Due to the long duration of the arc, the contacts are severely burned or burned and bonded, the maintenance workload is large, and the reliability is very low.Therefore, realizing the smooth soft start and soft stop of the DC oil furnace pump motor is of great significance to the reliable operation of the DC oil pump system of the power plant.
