Brief Introduction
For motor 3 7 kW, this standard specifies the temperature rise or temperature limit of the motor when the field operating conditions meet the requirements and the norm is operated under continuous duty system (reference condition). This standard also provides for different field operating conditions and different work quota of the running time limit correction rules, as well as the thermal test site conditions are different from the operating site of the limit value correction rules. It is important to know that the most hot spot of each winding is under a certain reference condition, that is, under rated operating conditions, the thermal classification allowed by the insulation system cannot be exceeded.
Under baseline conditions, the temperature rise shall not exceed the limits specified in Table 8(air cooling) or Table 9(hydrogen cooling). Both the resistance method and the temperature gauge (ETD) method are suitable.
Note: The temperature rise measured by the resistance method and the thermometer (ETD) method may be significantly higher or lower than the temperature rise limits specified in Table 8 or Table 9, depending on the design of the motor cooling system. You do not want to compare the two methods.
For other field operating conditions, non-continuous work quota and rated voltage greater than 12000V, the limit shall be amended in accordance with Table 10 (consider the assumed cooling medium temperature limits in Table 10 (also see Table 11). If the winding is cooled indirectly by air, and the conditions of the test site are different from those of the operating site, the limit values specified in Table 12 shall apply to the test site. If the manufacturer considers that the allowable temperature is too high due to the modification of the test site according to the limit values in Table 12, the test procedure and the limit values shall be agreed that the test site shall not be modified for windings indirectly cooled with hydrogen because the rated load test can only be performed at the operating site.
