Brief Introduction

CMC-T series reduced voltage starters has many kinds of stopping methods: free stopping, soft stopping, brake stopping, soft stopping and brake braking, and also has the function of pointing. Users can choose different stopping methods according to different loads and specific conditions of use.

 

Free stop: after receiving the stopping instruction, reduced voltage starters will firstly block the control relay of the bypass contactor and then block the output of the main circuit pin brake tube, and the motor will stop freely according to the inertia of the load.

 

Soft stop: In this way of stopping, reduced voltage starters firstly disconnect the bypass contactor, and the output voltage of reduced voltage starters is gradually reduced to the set soft stop termination voltage within the set soft stopping time, so that the voltage added to the motor end is gradually reduced to minimize the impact of the load on the motor brought about by the sudden stop.

 

Pump stop: In this way of stopping, reduced voltage starters first disconnects the bypass contactor, the output voltage of the soft starter gradually drops to the set soft-stop termination voltage value within the set soft-stop time, the pump stop is a special kind of soft-stop, which is mainly designed for the pump loads to stop softly.

 

Internal brake: When the reduced voltage starters set the braking time and selects the internal brake, the soft starter will brake when stopping to shorten the stopping time. This braking function has good effect for small motors, but for large motors, the braking effect is not ideal, in addition to the load affected by the larger. So in the application, set the parameters is very important, if the motor is bigger, the greater the inertia of the load, then the braking time should be set the longer.

 

External braking brake: external braking function must be connected externally to a brake unit, and then by the control system to provide a control signal, the signal is output by the relay K3, so the use of this function must be the output relay K3 parameters set to "brake when the output". Signal holding time is determined by the "braking time" parameter, at the same time, be sure to pay attention to the K3 relay output delay on the system.

 

There are two types of pointing: pointing forward and pointing reverse, and each has two speeds to choose from, see parameter, pointing strength determines the output torque when pointing, the larger the value, the larger the output torque.
