YE3 series AC low voltage gray cast motor is independently developed by SIMO company. The coolant mode is IC411, which meets with regulations of GB/T 755 Rotating Electrical Machines- Ratings and Performance and JB/T 13299 Specifications for YE4-series (IP55) High Efficiency Three-phase Induction Motor (Frame size 63-355). Its efficiency value complies with the grade 2 energy efficiency standard in GB 18613-2020 and is consistent with the lE4 in the international standard IEC 60034- Energy Efficiency Grade of Single Speed Three Phase Cage Induction Motors. This series of products can completely replace the obsolete products of low-voltage three-phase asynchronous motors, such as Y, YGM, YGM2, YE2 and YE3-series of motor.

Cast iron motor: The outer shell of the motor is mostly made of cast iron material, which has the advantages of high hardness, resistance to external pressure, less deformation, low price, and can be installed in places with high driving force and poor environment. The disadvantages are bulky weight, poor thermal conductivity, inability to die cast, poor plasticity, and lower elongation than aluminum. The noise is loud and the stability is not as good as aluminum.

Compared to iron shells, aluminum shells are lighter in weight, have better thermal conductivity, can be die cast, have good plasticity, higher elongation than iron, are more expensive, and have lower hardness. The reason why motors with higher center heights do not have aluminum shells is because the mechanical strength of aluminum is not sufficient.
