Brief Introduction

Small variable speed AC motor is usually used in hydropower plants. Plants that use the kinetic and potential energy of water flow to produce electrical energy are referred to as hydropower plants. The size of water flow and the level of water head determine the size of water flow energy. From the point of view of energy conversion, its process is: water energy → mechanical energy → electric energy.

The production method to achieve this energy conversion is generally to dam the upstream of the river and raise the water level to create a higher water head.
