Brief Introduction

Three phase asynchronous motors are widely used in factories and enterprises, with two wiring methods: △ and Y-shaped, commonly known as star connection.
The three windings of a three-phase asynchronous motor are generally represented by the letters U, V, and W, as shown in Figure a. It should be noted that the wiring groups of the windings are not corresponding to the top and bottom, but are staggered. This is basically the case for three-phase asynchronous motors, so it is best for everyone to remember this position; The reason for the misalignment is that △ wiring is more convenient. Please pay attention to Figure B. When wiring, you only need to connect the terminal up and down through the connecting piece (as shown in Figure C). If it is good, it will be more troublesome to use the △ connection method; Another connection method in Figure B is the Y-shaped connection method, which connects the three terminals horizontally through connecting pieces. These two connection methods can be summarized as △ vertical connection and Y-shaped horizontal connection; Most of the time, this is the case, but we cannot just memorize by rote. We still need to understand in order to draw analogies.
