SIMO First to Undertake the Repair of Special Marine Motor
Recently, we have received the task of repairing and testing the armature of special marine motors.
In the early stage, the relevant technical personnel of our company have communicated with the customer for many times about the requirements of this product, mainly from the commutator design, armature press-fitting process, commutator manufacturing, quality control, inspection and testing and other aspects of a comprehensive consideration. The product production task is tight, the work difficulty is big, the quality requirement is high, the company leadership and DC design room supervisor, commutator design engineers pay great attention to all aspects of the product.
This product is the first time that our company receives the maintenance and production task of special ship motors. The rotor adopts double commutator structure, and the cooling method adopts the water-cooled structure of axial tile, which makes the motor large in volume, low in rotational speed and high in center. Due to the special structure and parameters of the motor, the test is conducted by coupling pair drag test, which requires high concentricity of the coupling connection and increases the difficulty of the test.
According to the communication of many test planning in the early stage, SIMO motors has made deployment arrangements in advance from the selection of the model specification of the accompanying test machine, the design of the tooling bracket, and the selection of coupling pairs, and at the same time, according to the existing test equipment conditions, the power supply of the fan test and the additional power supply of the commutator area has been transformed. Although the motor is a double commutator structure, but the working current is small, complex conditions, circuit series and parallel forms, so the test of the lack of instrumentation for the purchase of accounting, armature circuit connection line prefabricated in advance.
At the beginning of the test, the test items were tested one by one according to the requirements of the test program, and under the witness of the five relevant units, the data of each test item were collected with photos and kept as original data. Due to the low rotational speed of the motor, the speed increment box was used as a transition connection to change the speed during the load test, and in the overspeed test, the user requested that the test must be conducted in the generator state, and the prime mover was used for dragging directly, which resulted in a very high starting current of the prime mover and difficult to start because the starting torque of the prime mover did not overcome the minimum starting torque of the motor under test. In the face of this problem, after discussing with our design engineers Zhang Jinwei and Zhang Dongwei, using the existing test conditions and equipment, we tried to adopt the method of two-way power supply to start successively, firstly, we use the accessory power supply to apply a voltage to the test machine so that it can reach the minimum starting torque, and then we use inertia to apply the corresponding voltage to the prime mover to make it reach the over-speed speed requirement.
At the end of the test, we tested the thermal insulation of the motor and the commutator runout, and all the test results were in line with the technical requirements of marine motors. The original data and process control records of the test are organized, and the test report and related curves are attached to the customer for later traceability.
Before the shipment of the motor, the relevant leaders of the company and the customer carried out enthusiastic communication and exchange in the conference room on the fourth floor. The success of the repair and test of the special marine motors marked a new level of XIMA's repair and laboratory test capability.
At the end of the communication and exchange, our company will continue to cooperate with both sides in the future for in-depth discussions, and we hope to realize complementary win-win situation and common development in the future proposed cooperation projects!
