For motors with base number h90 and below or motors with a diameter of 180mm and below, when the motor is installed in any predetermined position, the static load that the junction box should bear on its horizontal plane is calculated according to the horizontal plane, 1.42kg/cm2, but the maximum does not exceed 110kg.This load can be applied through a metal plane with a diameter of 50mm without being damaged. If the junction box is offset or deformed after the load test is applied, and the electrical clearance and creepage distance between the box body and any terminal still meet the requirements of Chapter 15, the junction box is considered qualified.If the motor is equipped with a ring or similar lifting device for lifting the motor, based on its strength limit, its safety factor is at least 5.

 

For motors with junction boxes, the junction boxes should be installed in parts that are easy to inspect during the normal use of the motors, and should be installed firmly and not allowed to loose. If the motor has capacitors, switches or similar devices, it should be installed firmly, not allowed to loose, and should be easy to replace,The wound rotor induction motor characteristics should have a certain moisture-proof ability. The non-metallic functional parts of the motor, such as cooling fans, should have sufficient mechanical strength and thermal aging and deformation resistance.

 

If the corrosion of steel parts may cause the motor to catch fire, electric shock, or harm the person, these parts should be painted, coated, electroplated, or other measures to ensure sufficient rust resistance. However, for steel and iron parts in the housing, if the oxidation is not significant when exposed to air, parts such as bearings and punches may not be required. Anti-corrosion. For parts with suspected anti-rust ability, the following tests and inspections should also be carried out to determine. Immerse the test part in alcohol, gasoline or similar substances for 10 minutes to remove all grease or impurities, and then immerse the part in a solution of ammonia chloride with a temperature of (20±5)℃ and a concentration of 10% for 10 minutes, without wiping it dry, just shake off the water droplets and put the part in a box with saturated humidity and a temperature of (20±5)℃ for 10 minutes; finally, the part is dried in an oven with a temperature of (100±5)℃ for 10 minutes. After the above tests, there should be no rust marks on the surface of the parts, but the rust marks on the sharp edges and any light yellow film that can be erased are negligible. 

 

Flexible wires connecting power supplies and connecting components. The flexible wire connecting the power supply and the connecting components must meet the relevant standards of the flexible wire, its rated voltage should not be lower than the maximum operating voltage of the motor, and its rated carrying current should not be lower than the rated current value of the motor.Unless there are measures to eliminate the tension that may be suffered by the flexible wire in the final use equipment of the motor, or the flexible wire used to connect the components will not be exposed to the motor or the final use equipment, there should be an insulating protective layer and a clamping device at the lead-out of the flexible wire to eliminate the possible tension on the flexible wire and transfer it to the internal wiring of the motor.
