Recently, the output of the company's large Electric motor R offline rotor motors has accounted for nearly 40% of the total in the past three months. Coupled with customer requirements, the production is under the dual pressure of "multiple varieties and specifications". This situation has imposed strict demands on the continuous operation capability of the workshop's core equipment – the 5-in-1 joint sleeve forming machine. However, the equipment is severely aged and worn. Under high-intensity production loads, failures such as connecting rod breakage and transmission shaft jamming have occurred frequently, directly leading to the shutdown of R rotor Electric motor production and putting the production schedule under severe challenges.

 Equipment is the foundation of workshop production, and its normal operation is crucial to production efficiency and product quality. To quickly reverse the passive situation, the Manufacturing Department of Simo Electric Motor activated the emergency response mechanism immediately, establishing a special repair team with backbones from equipment, machining, and welding departments as the core. The repair strategy of "prioritizing mapping, sequential processing, and collaborative assembly" was clarified. Among them, the equipment team took the lead in tackling technical challenges: for irregular parts such as connecting rods and transmission shafts (with no original drawings on file), equipment engineers took the initiative to conduct one-by-one mapping to ensure data accuracy. After the drawings were delivered, the welding and machining teams quickly entered a "wartime state", forming an efficiently connected process chain: the Welding Branch took the lead in starting the blanking process. Two welders precisely cut connecting rod blanks using 45# steel in accordance with drawing requirements, while preprocessing the welding parts of the transmission shaft to control the flatness error of the welding surface. Subsequently, the Machining Branch took over to carry out refined processing: the lathe process first performed rough and semi-finish machining on the shaft holes of the connecting rods, ensuring the hole size tolerance meets the H7 standard; the grinding process then conducted precision grinding on the outer cylindrical surface of the transmission shaft, achieving a surface roughness of Ra0.8μm; finally, the machining center performed CNC milling on the special-shaped groove structure of the connecting rods to realize the precise forming of complex contours. All processes were closely connected, and the processing of key parts of the joint sleeve was completed through overtime work.

 

After the replacement and commissioning of the core components of the 5-in-1 joint sleeve forming machine, all parameters during the trial operation met the normal operation standards, and the production capacity was restored to the level before the failure with stable operation. This effectively guaranteed the production schedule of the large motor R offline rotor motors.
