With the continuous promotion of national policies on energy conservation, emission reduction, consumption reduction and efficiency increase of equipment, users have more and more demands for ultra efficient motors. Three phase asynchronous motor technology can no longer meet the needs of energy efficiency improvement, and permanent magnet motor technology is the direction of future development. Some motor manufacturers in the same industry have successfully developed permanent magnet motors in series and put them on the market. At present, most permanent magnet motors use rare earth rubidium iron boron permanent magnets, which are widely used. However, due to the shortage and high price of rare earth materials, the space for further large-scale promotion of permanent magnet motors is limited to a certain extent. Therefore, it has become the focus of research for motor practitioners to strive for less use of rare earth materials while obtaining their excellent performance. Permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor combines the characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous motor and synchronous reluctance motor. This motor makes full use of reluctance torque and permanent magnet torque, and has significant advantages such as high power density, high efficiency, wide speed range, small size, light weight, etc.
The permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor developed by SIMO company is a synchronous motor based on the "reluctance minimization principle", which uses the torque (reluctance torque) generated by the special design of the rotor's convex pole structure to drive the motor to rotate. The rotor has no squirrel-cage winding structure and uses no or only a small amount of permanent magnet material, so it is characterized by high energy efficiency, high reliability, ease of maintenance, and low cost, and is able to meet the drive applications of equipment in various complex industrial environments. The use of high-temperature resistant ferrite as the auxiliary material further enhances the performance, combining the reliability of asynchronous motors with the high performance of permanent magnet motors, making it a cost-effective and excellent solution for high-efficiency drive of industrial equipment.

At present, part of the specifications of the prototype test production has been a complete success, the test results have exceeded expectations. The technical department is accelerating the progress of research and development, is expected to complete the development of a full range of this year and successfully introduced to the market, to provide users with more choices.
